Melou stomps up the stairs to Angela's room and when he enters, the door slams nicely behind him. He places the fox gently enough in the pile with the other toys he acquired the day before and then slumps in a chair, sulking.

If Angela is around, she's got one broody prince on her hands.

Angela smiles just a tiny bit.

"Most likely," she says quietly.

He smiles back, a little, the usual mask pretty much back in place.

"I should start doing that again. He's not worth it."

"Not if it's going to upset you this much," she says.

She'd comment on him not really needing a mask. Not around her.

But then, she would be one to talk.

Melou makes a bit of a face.

"I'm not upset."

"Well then, it shouldn't matter if you avoid him or not."

Angela shrugs. "But it seems like he's going to avoid you, anyway."

"I would have if it hadn't been for this," he gestures to the toys. "I don't plan on making it a habit to even see him, let alone talk to him."

"Yeah." She hugs him again. She really does wish that they could get along with each other. It might have been a good thing.

"Kind of glad, though, that I know for sure he really is a jerk and that I wasn't being too judgmental last time."

Yeah, but sometimes it hurts to be enlightened that way.

"Yeah...I guess that's a good thing. To know you're not missing anything."

"Exactly," he sort of grins and nuzzles her cheek.

Angela leans in. Her hair is still slightly damp. She holds him a little tighter and smiles back.

"I'm glad you came into the bar yesterday." Even though he was drunk.

She got to take care of him a little.

"Yeah, well, it was nice to see you. The rest I could've done without."

She nods. "Yeah, I know." She cards her fingers through his hair a little bit. "I was just lonely, you know?"

She gets like that sometimes, especially when she's Bound.

He nods and leans into her touch a bit. "Maybe you'll get to go home soon."

"Yeah. I think I need to get back home." Since he seems to like how she's touching him, she keeps doing it.

She sighs. "I liked the way I used to come and go as I pleased. I just hope that when I go home this time it's not another year for me."

He shrugs. "Can't do much about it if that's what happens."

"Yeah, I know. But hoping is perfectly acceptable." She grins and kisses his cheek.

"Sometimes, it's all we have," he agrees.

She nods. "I'll leave you a note if I do end up leaving, and you're not here. Just in case." She kisses him again, just because she can.

"And till then, I guess I'm here." She doesn't sound too broken up about that fact.

"Yes you are," he smiles and pulls her into his lap. "I'm glad you're here, anyway."

She laughs a little when he pulls her over, and puts her arms around him. "Me too."

Especially right this second. She bends down to kiss him softly.

He grins and kisses her back, but gets serious soon after.

"Really, though. Thanks for being here."

"I'm glad I could be," she says quietly.

She'd have felt awful if she'd not been here when he needed her. Or wanted her. It tends to amount to the same thing.

More or less and in a case like this, she's the only one he can talk to about it, even if it means - to him - that he has to look weak in front of her.

Still, he seems to be done talking for now, and just hugs her closer.
