Melou has put the maps away for today, happy enough with what work he did get done on them yesterday before Melehan ruined his mood. But he's not thinking about that right now. He has a date of sorts.

It's getting colder, even at Milliways, so there aren't any jean shorts today, although the t-shirt probably doesn't look so good with his usual trousers. Thankfully, he couldn't care less what his clothes look like.

Melou paces just outside the lake door, waiting for Angela. Girls always take forever.

She's coming, she's coming!

She's pulling on a light jacket as she comes outside, and kisses his cheek when she comes over. "Sorry I took so long."

It's chilly and November-y, and she's not quite used to it yet, but it's still rather nice out. Sunny.

She smiles and takes his hand, staying close as they walk. "So, did you want to stay another night? I was thinking of going back home tomorrow."

At this point, two days is enough time to stay away from home. She's also been adequately de-stressed.

"Oh? He seemed okay when I saw him yesterday. Why're you mad at him?" She thinks it's really cute that he's swinging their hands.

But she thinks he's really cute anyway.

"Yup. He was pretty amused about that fact. And he accused me of kidnapping you." She laughs about that a little.

"Well, it is possible to be kidnapped by a library. I used to disappear for whole Saturdays in them," she says, grinning.

She laughs. "Well, it's fun to me, at any rate. And besides, you think the ways I have fun are insane." Like Six Flags.

And let's face it, surfing probably looks pretty damn insane too.

Angela grins and ducks accordingly, holding on tight to his hand. "But I do have fun," she says. "I might be boring, but on occasion I do have fun."

She notices the distraction and the unconvinced-ness of his tone. But that's okay. They're together.

"Did you get a lot done yesterday?"

[identity profile] angela-edmunds.livejournal.com 2006-11-12 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
"I think that might be a long shot," she says softly. "Why Ireland? Are they going to give you problems as well?"

[identity profile] angela-edmunds.livejournal.com 2006-11-12 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Angela nods. "I guess it depends on if anyone you ask to fight with you has a shipyard." It all seems very iffy and uncertain.

She smiles. "I think I remember this place." They hadn't had to use it more than once.

It's different, obviously, when the trees have much fewer leaves, as they do now.

[identity profile] angela-edmunds.livejournal.com 2006-11-12 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
It's rather stark, the trees are huge and there's a thick covering of yellow and orange leaves on the ground. But it's still very quiet, very private, and there are a couple of stones nearby to sit on.

So Angela takes a seat on one of them, looking around. "It's still kinda nice here. Quiet."

She once said that the noise of the bar gave her a headache. The same still holds true.

Angela shrugs. "Maybe another time. It'll probably be winter by then, but that might be interesting, too."

She looks up at the sky, a bright blue with no clouds. She's so used to the slight smog that always hung in the sky in L.A.

She smiles for no particular reason.
