Dinner is always a noisy affair at castle Din-Gonwy. Angela found that out last night at her first one ever, when she was the centre of attention for all of five minutes until the main crowd accepted Melou's story of where she came from and who she was, and then got distracted by something else.
Tonight's meal isn't shaping up to be much different, except there's less whispering and more friendly (or indifferent) smiles given Angie's way.
They're seated not quite in the middle of the table, closer to the head. Melou passes her a glass of wine and smiles.

"Just let me know when you're ready to go upstairs. I'll probably have to help you get there."

She's about ready to get relaxed for the evening, though. "I think...I'm ready when you are." She grins.

"I'd like to go up, though. If you don't mind." She bites her lip.

Beat.
"You have to get up first."

She gets up, managing not to trip on anything, and waits for him, smoothing out the skirts of her dress.
She just needed to get somewhere that she didn't have to pretend she'd worn these sorts of dresses her entire life. And take her hair out of the braid.

When they arrive at his room, he holds the door open for her.

She goes inside when he holds the door open, and immediately goes to take the braid out of her hair. It was beginning to make her head hurt.

"Tired?"
no subject
"Much better." She grins at him and begins brushing through her hair.
no subject
"Because of the people or the clothes?"
no subject
Her hair is a bit kinky because of the braid in it all day.

She grins and nudges him. "Wouldn't want people to talk."
Even though they probably are.

So he decides not to think about it and kisses her back instead.

She stays close to him when the kiss ends, leaning her forehead against his, still smiling.

"You don't have to wear your hair back all the time, you know."
no subject
"Which way do you like it?" she asks shyly.

She continues brushing out the side he's not running his fingers through. She really, really likes when he does that, though.

She grins. "Snow is pretty neat, though. The lake outside the bar was pretty."
